ABSTRACT
RESUMEN El objetivo del presente artículo es destacar la vigencia que tienen para la educación superior las ideas de Paulo Freire contra la educación bancaria y la indiferencia. La metodología empleada es la conjugación del estudio bibliográfico y la observación participante del autor. Entre los resultados están: la reflexión acerca de la educación superior desde la lucha de Freire contra la educación bancaria y la indiferencia; la concepción de educación de Freire como un sistema complejo de relaciones entre el educando y educador, centrado en la activación del educando en el proceso educativo, el diálogo entre este y el educador, la unión de la duda con la curiosidad epistemológica, el papel orientador de la ética, la conjugación de lo racional y lo afectivo; la importancia en dicho nivel educacional del pensamiento crítico; el rechazo a la indiferencia enlazado básicamente al papel activo del educando en su educación.
ABSTRACT The objective of this article is to highlight the validity that Paulo Freire's ideas against banking education and indifference for higher education. The methodology used is the conjugation of the bibliographic study and the participant observation of the author. Among the results are: reflection on higher education from Freire's fight against banking education and indifference; Freire's conception of education as a complex relation system between student and educator, focused on the activation of the student in the educational process, dialogue between him and the educator, union of doubt with epistemological curiosity, guiding role of ethics, conjugation of the rational and the affective; importance in this educational level of critical thinking; rejection of indifference linked basically to the student´s active role in his education.

Con una visión filosófica el autor se adentra en el universo de la complejidad. De modo preliminar analiza las características del mundo de principios del siglo XXI y trata conceptos claves como disciplina, multidisciplinariedad e interdisciplinariedad. El centro de su atención recae en la transdisciplinariedad y su relación con la educación superior. De esta última destaca su papel y posibilidades para lograr la asimilación y producción de conocimientos transdisciplinarios, lo cual está en correspondencia con la tesis básica del artículo: este tipo de saber no se obtiene de manera espontánea como resultado del desarrollo de la ciencia y la tecnología, sino que exige una labor consciente y orientada a tal efecto. Por ese motivo emite algunas recomendaciones que se estructuran a partir de los cambios actuales en la educación universitaria y de las tendencias de su desarrollo.
With the philosophical vision the author goes into the universe of the complexity. In a preliminary way he analyses the characteristics of the world at the beginning of the XXI century and he treats key concepts such as: discipline, multidiscipline and interdisciplines. The center of his attention relapses in the relationships with subjects and with the superior education. Of this last one the author highlights its role and possibilities to achieve the assimilation and production of transdisciplinary knowledge, which is in correspondence with the basic thesis of the article. This type of knowledge does not obtain in a spontaneous way as a result of the development of the science and the technology, otherwise it demands a conscious work and guided to such an effect. For that reason the author emits some recommendations that are structured starting from the current changes in the university education and of the tendencies of its development.
